International media is confronted with need to address the unstated “Right to Kill and Right to Feed”, of Israel with full support from President Trump’s administration for the US President has made it clear through his posts, tweets and to media, that he is a great supporter of Israel and of Prime Minister Netanyahu, in fact he feels the exemplary patriotism of the Prime Minister of Israel is so distinct that the thought on investigating corruption charges against Prime Minister Netanyahu is unholy to say the least.
Against this background, when Prime Minister Netanyahu can do no wrong, how can the aid distribution planned by him and US military along with Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, a for profit entity be anything but perfect. While 165 charities and NGOs have pointed out that effort by GHF has to be brought to an end for Humanitarian reasons and for not even considering Palestinians as sentient beings, Gaza Humanitarian Foundation said according to the reporter on DW News [1] that it wants all NGOs to chip in and facilitate them to deliver aid in Gaza. Within this context would like to raise issues linked to associating with an agency like Gaza Humanitarian Foundation:
1. GHF seems to have started with the intention, it should fail. For the agency claims its expertise is in logistics, then it would know that distributing meals to over 2 million people from four hubs would have months to complete or even a year to complete one time delivery. This is evident even to a lay person and should be clear to experts in logistics.
2. Another reason to state it’s planned to fail, is because the hubs are located close by for convenience of management purposes and not out of consideration for the target population.
3. When ex-military persons are taking on international aid delivery, through registering of for-profit agency it is an indication of planned paradigm shift for the benefit of business industry, military (as informal surveillance would be easy), for tech industry, and probably linked to business part of UN, a shift that is in the pipeline with support from US and West.
4. When a new form of UN is planned with an eye to be sustainable in the Stock Market, how would the concept be made viable with regard to Humanitarian work, would it mean the quality will be tampered with for profit, would it mean instead of humans, drones would be making delivery, points of distribution would be reduced, activity will be totally centralized with tech, would the raw data collected through the entire distribution process be used to train robots or would the information be integrated within field of robotics. This shift would be line with making UN for profit and tech based.
5. There is a small aspect that all agencies and UN, US, and EU are forgetting, or some may be doing so in spite of remembering the relevance as it is very clear in case Israel, for Israel aid distribution is an opportunity for psychological warfare and darker it gets the better. The aid distribution by UNRWA was more than aid distribution, it was a network of Hope and Human dignity, which GHF from its conceptualization seeks to eliminate.
6. It is this network of Hope, when only chaos, uncertainty and death rules in the lives of people in conflict areas on an everyday basis, that ensures the population living in Palestine or other places get psychological support and hope to fight for survival and their rights.
7. Besides, when GHF, President Trump and SCOTUS along with Western media seems to be playing chess with lives of Palestinians, they forget they are strengthening Genocidal intent of Israel when Israeli are allowed to bombs, and decide who can receive aid at the same time.
8. Asking NGOs and Charities to support work of Gaza Humanitarian Foundation would mean asking NGOs to substitute right based approach with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) based approach, as the latter would be the default for ensuring the principles of for profit survives, with Right based approach the target population would be at the center of planning/ implementation, and in case of CSR or corporate humanitarian based approach the viability and sustainability for the agency would be at the center. This difference would shape policy and interventions planned by relevant agencies.
9. Last but not least United States is trying close the entire circle of control, from veto for policy control to final action at ground level, and give the key to international for-profit agencies to ensure US based corporates rule or even US Presidential Executive Orders writ rules. The only raw data that would be officially available to the world would be becoming from for Profit agencies run by Tech or military industries. This move would be total destruction of anything humane or right based in Humanitarian work.
