From Fisherfolks in South America to Livestock ‘gangs’ in Nigeria, US Presidential vision for Department of war and 900-billion-dollar US Military Industry!

For a President who keeps eyeing the Nobel Peace Prize as his most coveted trophy for now, the US President does find it difficult to curb his love for violence both in action and words. The most strategic expression of his passion is the renaming of Department of Defence to Department of War. But, then to be functional Department of War needs War to take action and satisfying that need is giving US President sleepless night, no one seems to appreciate his predicament.

After using the expertise of US Military to bomb small fisher boats with fishermen to smithereens, the most powerful US tech military industry is busy sharpening their skills to address the greatest national household crime in Nigeria [1], the livestock theft. From total of 51.8 million household crimes, the largest share is that of livestock theft which accounts for 18% of total crime, followed by theft of crop which accounts for 15.8 percent and among the lowest is theft of motor vehicles which is around 0.6 percent of all crime.

When considering intentional homicide, it is reported at 15.75 per 100,000 people in 2023 [2] and this is lower than figures for some cities in US, for example it is 54.4 for St. Louis MO in 2024, New Orleans LA it is 34.7 and for Washington D.C it is 27.3 [3].

In case of number of terrorism related death in Nigeria it was 565 [4]. Even at the global level the total number of terrorism related deaths for 2024 was 7,555 [5]. At the same time, making their bias crystal clear, the Global terrorism Index mentions increase of 270 per cent in incidents targeting Jewish communities in US but not even a mention of Israel’s Genocide or acts of terror, the fact it has killed over 66,000 Palestinians in last two years along with hundreds of thousand unaccounted for under the rubble or maimed for life. Yet, Israel does not figure as a major actor in terrorism, except for false claims of it being the eternal victim of terrorism.

According to Wikipedia data on religious and politically motivated crimes in Nigeria [6], most of the massacres that occurred for 2025, from March 28 to June 21 were carried out allegedly by herdsmen. Sixteen deaths that occurred on March 28, 2025 was mob related; 16 Hausa hunters were lynched by a mob. In all the other nine instances which together accounted for 489 deaths were carried out herdsmen.

US President, it is really unclear how such small data size would be of any interest to Tech industry, unless US military industry in planning to check out how to expand military industry using logical fallacies instead of facts and there by making US Department of War relevant. Even US Department of State reports prior to 2025 do not indicate a Christian angle to murder, rather indicate the violence is linked to complex situational, political realities, along with community’s access to resource.

US President, isn’t it necessary to get facts in order before ensuring US 900-billion-dollar has relevant work to justify its existence at the global level? In the absence of same it would come crashing down even synthetic data would not help!

Peace, Security & Fourth Industry, Technology—impact on Us and Our Becoming

Its complexity, and simplicity is reflected in our restricted definition of peace as an absence of war/violence, even though we sense it is far beyond that.    Peace is a concept that exists beyond the boundaries of empirical reality, but we seek it within the realms of empirical reality, where power has the final say. We conceive it as a static state, where a world view palatable to u...

The President of US stands accused of Genocidal intent?

Mr.President Trump, after hinting at his intent for days, now allegedly has stated loud and clear he would like to own another sovereign state, Palestine and wants to remove the entire population of Palestinians from there. For which he is bidding with nations in the middle east, almost creating a new form of slave trade.  The President of US standa accused of:  a) Clearly expressed Genocidal intent, expressed to entire world totally in free will, standing in a position of power as the greatest spender on Military industry.  2. As specified in Article two of genocide convention he state he wants to destroy an entire nation by erasing its existence and using organised crime methods for the same.  3.Totally against the UN charter Article 2 (4) for it "prohibits use of force (which could be physical and psychological) and calls on all Members to respect the Sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of other states.  4. Living in the Margins

Molly Charles (1) Margin, a term familiar from tender age; notebooks with clear cut margins to delineate the main body of text, define it. The margins give it definite shape, a practice that continues into the virtual world. Among humans, it is these margins that give identity to the large majority we term normal. The often, porous boundaries offer a chance for individuals to slip through and slip back into either ‘normal’ or ‘marginal’ spaces. The decision to identify with marginal groups or positions can be a conscious one as with (gender identity, drug use), enforced as in (mental health, racial and caste based discrimination) and accidental for (drug use, stigmatized diseases). In certain instances, as with mental health, some individuals may find their being part of marginal groups a permanent reality, in most other instances individuals do move in and out of marginal groups, as a survival strategy to deal with marginalization. Even when physical spaces merge, with an emph...
