Thoughts on Time, Humans and AI

Time, you arrive in abundance at birth, only to merge with reality of living till your presence evades us. Humans learn to discern you, in different frames, at times we wait for you to make your mark and cross the speed of light and as you lapse, we hope you merge with static reality forever. It’s rare for us to let you Be.

Time, we always seek to define you for which we adorn you on our wrist as though we can have power over you by knowing your pace. To define you we carve our story of life on you, seek ways to make our life definite and impenetrable by chaos or life itself, and that create success stories for others to emulate. We forget the beauty of time is in its flexibility for subjective interpretations, with no success or failure only the willingness to learn the art of living, while just being.

Time, we travel with you on our first breath, we associate with you even before we grasp your presence. We need you to define us, but you evade our grasp, leaving behind the goals we achieved, characters we formed, emotions we experienced, knowledge we grasped, violence we unleashed within and beyond, peace we sought for selves and more, art we created through medium varied, music we made for you to play, but that moment of silence when we sense your presence, that moment dwarfs all else.

Time, did your presence dwarf us, that we created Artificial Intelligence to augment our association with you. Yet, did we augment ourselves or did we carve a part of self that can be augmented in association with you. Where will those neglected parts of us reside, within you or outside your frame lost forever? Will we create a string of neglected, diminished parts that colour our diversity, enrich our souls? Will the string of diversity be isolated reality within us waiting for AI to tap and shred on or will it be part of our collective consciousness augmenting us outside AI within dynamics of life.

Time, both universality and individuality are innate to you with no space for separation. Our lives that exist hinged on you, in thought and action, define diversity in universality through our individuality. To further layer our reality we tasked Artificial intelligence to combine individuality to create viable model universally relevant only to be marketed based on select individual preferences. The process back and forth, innumerable at any instance, continues without halting to create “shredded realities” to be housed in our individual realities or groups at best.

Time, it is your individual reality and its universality that makes me stand in awe. For humans throughout civilizations have left scars, our time journey are marks of shredded realities, both universal and diminished ones; but with ease of a bird drying itself you erase the marks left by us through civilizations each instant every instance. Yet, we continue to anchor our existence on you and see you from our eyes all the while you exist as you, without definite form or characterisation of linearity.

Time, will we grow distant from you with our augmentation through Artificial Intelligence, for AI cannot Be, for AI time exists, after time lapses?

Living in the Margins

Molly Charles (1) Margin, a term familiar from tender age; notebooks with clear cut margins to delineate the main body of text, define it. The margins give it definite shape, a practice that continues into the virtual world. Among humans, it is these margins that give identity to the large majority we term normal. The often, porous boundaries offer a chance for individuals to slip through and slip back into either ‘normal’ or ‘marginal’ spaces. The decision to identify with marginal groups or positions can be a conscious one as with (gender identity, drug use), enforced as in (mental health, racial and caste based discrimination) and accidental for (drug use, stigmatized diseases). In certain instances, as with mental health, some individuals may find their being part of marginal groups a permanent reality, in most other instances individuals do move in and out of marginal groups, as a survival strategy to deal with marginalization. Even when physical spaces merge, with an emph...

When Power Corrupts, can Mental Torture of Palestinian Children be condoned, Mr. President US.

Mr. President US Donald Trump, you govern a nation that spends annually around 916 billion dollars on Military Industry sector, the next competitor to US is China with an annual expenditure of 296 billion USD, but you can't take such power to be a  license for a free ride over rights of others across the globe. It can't be so dense to you, that your strategy of inflecting shock-chaos-confusion for achieving specific goals, overrides sovereignty and rights of others and makes US the greatest terror state of all. It is sad to see that US Presidential Executive Order, a system put in place to manage Intelligence Agencies and others in US is being used as tool of Terror. Let's consider the most inhuman example of all. Palestinians watched their land Palestine deformed, abused and disfigured to create Israel with an excuse of 2000 years old history. As though Semitic religions are the exclusive reality of the planet and others are irrelevant. While creation of Israel is portray...

Peace, Security & Fourth Industry, Technology—impact on Us and Our Becoming

Peace is something everyone can sense, and yet, find difficult to define. Its complexity, and simplicity is reflected in our restricted definition of peace as an absence of war/violence, even though we sense it is far beyond that.    Peace is a concept that exists beyond the boundaries of empirical reality, but we seek it within the realms of empirical reality, where power has the final say. We conceive it as a static state, where a world view palatable to u...
