Pot calls the Kettle Black, US President? Kill for fun sanctioned by US? No Human rights violation here, UN, only Middle East ( sans Israel ) the problem?

International waters have become the new arena to take pot shots with missiles on small boats that dare to ferry. According to Secretary of Defence, Pete Hegseth, the current action of killing all those who ferry small boats allegedly carrying tons of drugs is within the law, he states “Our current operation in the Caribbean is lawful under both US and international law, with the law of military and civilian lawyers, up and down the chain of command” [1].  Apparently either US President and Secretary of Defence have become delusional about legal matters or they think the world is delusional and will believe anything dished out of the oval office.

Just curious Mr. US. President and Secretary of Defence, Pete Hegseth:

 1) If Global Index Score (2024) is to be believed the US is way ahead of Venezuela, US is ranked at 81 with score of 3.517 on a scale of 0 to 10. Venezuela only managed a score of 0.71 and is ranked 99. This has been the pattern for previous years as well. In 2016, there were 6 terror incidents in Venezuela, with nine deaths and 77 individuals injured. For the same year, there were 61 terror incidents, with 68 dead and 139 injured. In the next year, data from Venezuela showed a slight increase with 17 terror incidents, 5 dead and 37 injured, at the same time there was a steep jump in case of US, it had 484 terror incidents with 1805 killed and 1031 injured. In 2018 data from Venezuela was not significant enough to rank it. [2]

The commentary by Benjamin R. Young 2024, Rand Publication, is the only indication of Venezuela being a terror state, as it is a sanctuary for terrorist organizations.  He further emphasises his probable educated guess by stating for proof, “Venezuela role as an increasingly close partner to Iran, which the US labels as “the World’s leading State Sponsor of terrorism, warrants attention” [3]. Seriously, Rand is creating a narrative for terrorism by association as the central indicator?

By the Global Terrorism Index ranks Iran at 18 with a score of 6.056.  And Lebanon where Hezbollah is based is ranked 64 with score of 1.237. One of the reasons stated commentary by Benjamin R. Young is considering Venezuela as a terror state in because of Venezuela’s friendly association with Hezbollah.

 2) So, Mr. US President are we to understand given the statements given by you and by Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth that Global Terrorism Index will be decided by US President unilaterally, not just for United States but for the entire globe. Is this the new style of democracy and changed version of US constitution approved by SCOTUS as well?

 3) Benjamin R. Young, points out that Iran is part of Axis of Resistance, but since when has axis of resistance taken over and become a grave concern like Axis of Evil, for the US? Since, when has resistance shifted from being part of human rights to be a criminal act? Has the law in US changed so much under President Trump that the Globe need to understand the new US definition for Resistance.

 4) If one were to assume the logical fallacies put forward by Benjamin R. Young is correct, then can Rand explain to the Globe how come UNODC data base, drug seizure data across countries in Americas and other crime sites indicate: In Americas, the largest seizure was from Colombia 739.5 tonnes, Ecuador 195 tonnes, Panama 95.7 tonnes, Brazil 72.3 tonnes. In case of Venezuela the seizures from 2021 to 2024 has been largely static. From 2021 to 2024 total drug seizures has ranged from 33.2 to 45 tonnes, in fact in 2024 there was a steep fall in terrorism index from 44 tonnes drugs seized to 35 tonnes drugs seized [4].

It is unclear based on existing data how Venezuela has become a major terror state. Then the question remain does the US President assume 900 plus billions military industry is the only force or backing needed to redefine international law as per the whims and fancy of US President? What will UN or Security Council do when Superpower goes Rogue?

Peace, Security & Fourth Industry, Technology—impact on Us and Our Becoming

We conceive it as a static state, where a world view palatable to u...

The President of US stands accused of Genocidal intent?

Mr.President Trump, after hinting at his intent for days, now allegedly has stated loud and clear he would like to own another sovereign state, Palestine and wants to remove the entire population of Palestinians from there. For which he is bidding with nations in the middle east, almost creating a new form of slave trade.  The President of US standa accused of:  a) Clearly expressed Genocidal intent, expressed to entire world totally in free will, standing in a position of power as the greatest spender on Military industry.  2. As specified in Article two of genocide convention he state he wants to destroy an entire nation by erasing its existence and using organised crime methods for the same.  3.Totally against the UN charter Article 2 (4) for it "prohibits use of force (which could be physical and psychological) and calls on all Members to respect the Sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of other states.  4. Living in the Margins

Molly Charles (1) Margin, a term familiar from tender age; notebooks with clear cut margins to delineate the main body of text, define it. The margins give it definite shape, a practice that continues into the virtual world. Among humans, it is these margins that give identity to the large majority we term normal. The often, porous boundaries offer a chance for individuals to slip through and slip back into either ‘normal’ or ‘marginal’ spaces. The decision to identify with marginal groups or positions can be a conscious one as with (gender identity, drug use), enforced as in (mental health, racial and caste based discrimination) and accidental for (drug use, stigmatized diseases). In certain instances, as with mental health, some individuals may find their being part of marginal groups a permanent reality, in most other instances individuals do move in and out of marginal groups, as a survival strategy to deal with marginalization. Even when physical spaces merge, with an emph...
